Contribute a resource

If you have a resource or set of resources you’d like to share through the ViPs project, we’d like to hear from you, whether it’s a single photograph of your favourite site or a series of videos and teaching materials on how to develop and apply a complex transfer function, and whether you’re recommending a link to a publicly available internet resource missing from our spreadsheet so far or sharing something you’ve created yourself.

ViPs has a clear Intellectual Property policy. You may also need to check with your institution about their rights as an employer in materials produced during the course of your employment – in the majority of cases, institutions are supportive of contributions to community projects which do not involve any payments, but if in doubt, ask!

We strongly recommend that all submissions to be hosted by ViPs use this Creative Commons licence:

            Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0)

Which lets others remix, adapt, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms.  This link provides further details of this licence and other creative commons options can be explored on that website: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/

The easiest way to share a resource is by submitting a url to the resource which is stored on your personal page or institution research repository. However, we are also able to store resources as part of the ViPs project in specific web locations (e.g. in the media cloud files associated with this wordpress site, or in a ViPs owned private YouTube channel), which would mean that they are automatically included in our future efforts to ensure a long term existence for these resources. These resources must be covered by a Creative Commons licence.
